Leisegang photo and video colposcopes are designed for the direct connection of a camera to the colposcope. They are equipped with a sub-construction, which serves the admission of the camera over a T2-adaptor and enables the projection of a real picture on the film level of the camera.
Before the digital age of photography, the film was directly exposed without a lens. Today, photo-sensitive semiconductor chips of a different size replace the 24x36mm film. The optical laws are also valid in the digital world, so digital cameras can be adapted further (with a T2-Adapter) without difficulties.
The illustration and the use of digital cameras have to be assessed differently to a 35mm camera. In comparison with 35mm cameras there is a difference in height and in width.
These differences lead to a reduced picture angle.
